The Botanical Behind the Name
Centella Asciatica, commonly known as “Gotu Kola”, is a brain tonifying herb that has been used in Indian Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years. It is considered to be a “Rasayana” herb, meaning it promotes rejuvenation and longevity. Centella is an excellent herb to boost cognitive function and is often used by Yogi’s to calm the mind to enhance meditation. It is also very helpful for anxiety and sleep disturbances related to a racing mind, as well as for repair of connective tissues.
